Luddite Privacy Policy

Luddite is designed to work locally on your iPhone.

The app stores your selected session, completed session history, progression level, and pending completion state on device so it can run Screen Time sessions and show your progress.

Luddite uses Apple’s Screen Time frameworks, including Family Controls, Device Activity, and Managed Settings, to request permission and apply app and web category shields during a session.

Luddite does not transmit your selected durations, progression history, app usage, website usage, or Screen Time activity to a Luddite server.

Luddite does not require an account, does not include ads, does not track you across apps or websites, and does not include a third-party analytics or advertising SDK.

Luddite may fetch static reader content, such as FAQs and things to do while waiting, from a public content file. This request is used only to update in-app informational content.

If you allow notifications, Luddite may schedule a local notification to let you know when a session is complete. Notification permission can be denied without blocking the app’s main functionality.
